Clinton Township in Wayne County held a hearing on updating its land development rules (last updated in 2008) to cover data centers. Earlier, a new township lawyer warned that a data center moratorium might not be legal in Pennsylvania. Whether the update was adopted was not found.

Linde Corporation wants to build a 20-building data center campus on 682 acres near Forest City, with two gas power plants. The planning commission first called the plan incomplete in June 2026, then accepted a new version in July, starting a 90-day review. Joint hearings were held August 3 and 17. The review deadline was about September 28, 2026; the decision was not found.
