Breaker Street data center campus (Jessup)
Also called: Breaker Street Associates LLC, Breaker Street Data Center (Breaker Street Associates LLC), Catalyst Commercial Development
A developer wanted six data center buildings, each 130 feet tall, on 131 acres in Jessup, using 600 megawatts of power. The zoning board said no because its power substation would sit on land zoned for homes.
Where things stand: Jessup's Zoning Hearing Board denied it in Dec. 2025. The developer is now challenging Jessup in court to build six data centers. Not final.

๐ Data center rules
Jessup Borough Council voted unanimously to tighten its data center rules. Data centers can only go on industrial land south of the Casey Highway and need a public hearing first. The rules also limit height and require noise studies and water-saving cooling.
