Hanover Township supervisors are holding hearings on Prime Data Centers' request for a conditional use permit at Starpointe Business Park. The plan is a 350-450 megawatt, eight-building data center campus on about 120-126 acres of old strip-mine land, with its own natural gas power plant.

Cecil supervisors are working on a data center ordinance even though no project has applied. They said they cannot ban data centers but can set rules, and expected a draft before the end of 2026.

South Strabane supervisors voted unanimously to adopt rules for data centers, plus a separate noise and dust law. Data centers must stay at least 1,500 feet from any lived-in home and sit on at least 30 acres.

Amwell supervisors put off a vote on a data center ordinance in May 2026 after residents said it was too weak. They rewrote it, borrowing ideas from South Strabane, and held a hearing in June where more than 50 residents spoke in support.
