The city council voted 8-1 to set aside (table) its proposed pause on new data centers for now. The council attorney said members would instead write a resolution for the planning department.

County commissioners voted unanimously for data center rules. Data centers are allowed only on industrial land, need approval from the zoning appeals board, and must meet setback and noise rules. It covers only the unincorporated county.
