A Chicago company planned a six-building data center on 185 acres in Sugarloaf Township, but it has backed out. The landowner and a buyer are still trying in court to change the zoning so a data center could be built.
Where things stand: Supervisors rejected the zoning change. The developer, LBT, has backed out, but the landowner and land buyer are still asking Luzerne County Court to allow data centers there.
