Eldred Township scheduled a hearing and possible vote on September 16, 2026 for data center rules. Data centers and crypto mining would be a conditional use only in the Industrial district, on at least 10 acres, under a 60-foot height limit and 200 feet from homes and other zones. The result of the vote was not found.
