Amazon Bridgefield Tech Center (former GW Virginia campus, Ashburn)
Also called: George Washington University Virginia Science and Technology Campus, Bridgefield Tech Center
Amazon bought George Washington University's 122-acre Ashburn campus for $427 million in 2026. In July 2026 it filed a plan for four data center buildings, about 805,000 square feet in all. The local supervisor says she will fight it. The land falls under older zoning rules that may let it go ahead without a board vote.
