Proposed
Leesburg Gateway data center plan (Peterson Companies)
The Peterson Companies wants three data center buildings on a 107-acre parcel on the north side of Route 7, east of the Leesburg Premium Outlets, plus business buildings and 22 acres of parkland. The town plan calls for mixed-use neighborhoods there, so the council must first change the plan.
Where things stand: Needs a Town Plan change. Planning Commission recommended denial; council hearings were cancelled at the developer's request (latest January 2026).
๐ Latest update (Jan 26, 2026): Town Council cancelled its public hearing at the developer's request.
