Iron Horse data center park (near Ashland)
Developers proposed an industrial campus for several data centers near Ashland, close to Dominion power lines, on land already zoned for homes and shops. They promised $16.5 million a year in taxes. Local planners disagreed about it in late 2024.
Where things stand: In December 2024 the Hanover and Ashland planning bodies split on it. A tracker lists it as canceled, but we found no official record of that.
