A California developer plans a $5 billion data center and battery site on about 227 acres near Northwest Freeway and City View Drive in north Wichita Falls. The City Council rezoned the land from residential to light industrial in November 2024. The developer said in 2026 that it had not yet filed state paperwork or asked for city water.
