Energy Abundance 'Data City' (near Laredo)

Energy Abundance Development Corporation pitched 'Data City', a data center campus of up to 5 gigawatts on 50,000 acres near Laredo. It would make its own power from wind, solar and natural gas, and later hydrogen from a planned 'Hydrogen City' next door. No building start has been reported.
Where things stand: Announced March 2025; first 300 MW phase was promised for 2026.
