Vantage 'Frontier' AI data center campus (Shackelford County)

Vantage Data Centers is building a $25 billion campus called Frontier on about 1,200 acres in rural Shackelford County, southwest of Albany. It is planned to have 10 buildings and use about 1.4 gigawatts of power. News reports tie it to the Oracle and OpenAI 'Stargate' project.
Where things stand: Under construction; first building expected in the second half of 2026, full campus by 2028.
