Google Meitner Energy Center data center (near Pampa)

Google and its energy partner Intersect are building a data center near Pampa with its own wind, solar, batteries and some gas power. About 650 construction workers are on site. Google has not said how big the data center will be.

Where things stand: Construction started in June 2026. Local leaders expect it to finish in late 2028 or early 2029.
