Vantage TX1 data center campus, TX11 and TX12 (Texas Research Park)
Also called: TX11, TX12, Vantage TX1 campus
Vantage Data Centers bought about 58 acres on Omicron Drive at the Texas Research Park in 2023. It filed state plans for TX11, a 32-megawatt building, and then TX12, a $277 million, 96-megawatt building due in 2027. Environmental groups have threatened to sue over the on-site gas power planned for TX12.
Where things stand: TX11 (32 MW) was due online in early 2026; TX12 (96 MW) is being built, due August 2027.
๐ Latest update (July 2026): Environmental groups (Environmental Integrity Project, Sierra Club, Public Citizen) sent a notice of intent to sue Vantage and VoltaGrid over gas power plants at two planned off-grid San Antonio-area data centers, including TX12.
