What happened so far
- Oct 2025Bitfarms took over the Clark Street site, which already ran a 30 megawatt bitcoin mine.
- April 2026Keel's operations vice president said the closed-loop system would use about 1,000 gallons of water a day.
- April 27, 2026Sharon zoning board approved the AI data center with a 70-decibel noise cap, closed-loop cooling and no river water. Mercer County planners, Sharon planners and city council still had to review it.
- June 29, 2026Bitcoin mining at Sharon stopped; the company plans to turn the 110 megawatt site into an AI computing center.
