A local group called Fezzik Energy wants to put an AI data center and its own gas power plant on the old J&L steel mill land in Aliquippa. It says the city could get about $95 million in property tax over 10 years. No approvals have been found.
Where things stand: Announced idea with a planned 500 megawatt gas plant; no city approvals found.
