Google, through a company called Deep Meadows LLC, wanted to rezone 468 acres of farmland in Franklin Township for a data center campus. After months of opposition from the group Protect Franklin Township, Google withdrew the request in September 2025.
Where things stand: Google withdrew the rezoning on Sept. 22, 2025, just before the City-County Council vote.
