Cloverleaf is preparing a 12-building, 4.2 million-square-foot data center campus off I-75 at Rumble Road. Monroe County rezoned the land in 2024. The state filing lists about 2 million gallons of water a day, with build-out through about 2038.

Local votes and rules
⏸️ Pause on new data centers
Monroe County paused new data center applications outside city limits in December 2025 while it reviews possible limits. Monroe County had already turned down one large data center rezoning in August 2025, while the city of Forsyth later approved another.
✋ Turned down
Monroe County commissioners voted unanimously against rezoning about 900 acres of mostly wooded land near Bolingbroke for a planned $5.8 billion data center. The planning board had also refused to recommend it. Hundreds of residents came to oppose it.
