Prime Storage will turn part of a 90,000-square-foot storage building off Delk Road into an 18-megawatt data center. Marietta's council approved it 5-2 in August 2026 after heated public comment. Conditions include a noise study and constant monitoring.

Marietta City Council voted 5-2 to approve an 11-acre data center on Powers Ferry Place off Delk Road, after protests about noise, utility bills and home values. The city's pause did not apply because the developer, Prime Group Holdings, applied before it started.

Marietta City Council passed a pause on all new data center projects through December 31, 2026, and set aside a rezoning request for a data center on Powers Ferry Place. The pause did not cover applications already filed.
