Project West is a six-building, 600-megawatt data center campus planned on about 513 acres near LaGrange. The AJC reported a $9.7 billion investment over eight years; the state filing lists $6 billion.

Troup County commissioners paused all data center applications in the rural parts of the county for 90 days starting September 16, 2025. Staff will update the county's development rules. It does not cover LaGrange, Hogansville or West Point, or the data center already approved at the former Jindal site in LaGrange.
