Hogansville is in talks to sell about 437 acres of city land on Hightower Road for a data center that could use 600 megawatts. Residents learned of it through an open records request; the city had signed a secret deal (NDA). The land must be rezoned first.
Where things stand: City-owned land sale depends on rezoning to industrial. City officials kept it secret under an NDA for at least 18 months.
