Wyoming County planners reviewed a draft change to the county land development rules aimed at data centers. They voted unanimously to recommend calling it 'High-Intensity Nonresidential Land Development' instead of naming data centers, so the rules cover other big projects too. The commissioners have not adopted it yet.

Wyoming County's planning director said Falls Township in Wyoming County adopted data center rules as part of a full rewrite of its zoning ordinance. The rules limit where and how data centers can be built.
