Town board passed a 6-month pause on new data center and battery storage projects. It does not cover DataBank's planned Phase 2 expansion in Orangeburg, which is still under planning board review.

County lawmakers passed a resolution asking the governor to sign the state bill for a one-year pause on large data centers. Supporters said it was the first county in New York to do so.
