DataBank Orangeburg data center expansion (Phase 2)
Also called: DataBank LGA3, Orangeburg Expansion Phase 2
DataBank already runs a data center at 2000 Corporate Drive in Orangeburg (Phase 1, approved in 2022). It wants to add a 77,862-square-foot data center and a yard for backup power equipment. The planning board said it may harm the environment and ordered a full study. The town's new 6-month moratorium does not cover this project.
Where things stand: Planning board ordered a full environmental impact study in July 2026. Needs site plan approval and two variances.
π Latest update (Sept 9, 2026): Public scoping session on the environmental study at Orangetown Town Hall.
