Residents sued over the rezoning of the south part of the Red Wolf site. A judge refused to dismiss the case in October 2025. We found no final ruling.

The planning commission recommended rezoning about 550 acres 4-2 in May 2025. The board's 7-3 vote on the north part fell short of the supermajority needed after neighbors filed a protest petition.
