Larimer County stopped taking land use applications for new data centers in unincorporated areas on Jan. 27, 2026. It extended the pause on Feb. 9 (to Aug. 25) and again on July 13, 2026, to Feb. 25, 2027, while it writes data center rules. No site application has been filed.
