The county is adding data centers to its land use rules. On Aug. 11 the planning board voted to move ahead with rules that would require a special use permit for data centers. A public hearing was held Sept. 16, 2026. We could not find whether the rules were adopted.
πΊοΈ Zoning change Β· Platte County
County commissioners unanimously rezoned 5,344 acres of ranch land in Goshen Hole, northeast of Wheatland, to industrial for a planned data center. Any use still needs a special use permit. The land goes back to ranch zoning if building does not start within five years.
