Supervisors approved a 20-year performance agreement covering taxes on Google's server equipment for a possible data center campus on 312 acres. Google also promised about $4 million for local services such as fire, police and schools.

🗺️ Zoning change · Botetourt County
Supervisors changed the zoning code to define data centers and allow them in the Research and Advanced Manufacturing (RAM) district. Nobody spoke against it at the hearing. Google later bought 312 acres in the Botetourt Center at Greenfield.
