Anderson County commissioners passed Resolution R-04-2026 to send state leaders a letter and a citizen petition about data centers. The letter asks the state to pause new data center projects already in progress until state rules are written. It lists water and power limits, cooling type, farmland, roads, noise, drainage and fire department funding as topics the rules must cover.
