Solis Arx data center campus at Progress Park

A new company, Solis Arx, is building an AI data center campus on 99 acres at Progress Park. The county expects over $1 billion in investment and more than $10 million a year in taxes by 2028. The company says it will use about 2,000 gallons of water a day.

Wythe County has no countywide zoning. Its first draft zoning ordinance would require a special use permit and a public hearing for data centers. In September 2026 the county was collecting public comments before formal hearings.
