Globalinx data center campus at Corporate Landing (expansion)
Globalinx runs a data center beside the undersea internet cable landings at Corporate Landing. It is growing in phases, up to about 30 megawatts. The city wants to keep this smaller kind of data center but keep out giant ones.
Where things stand: The campus runs today. In August 2026 the city development authority approved selling Globalinx 9 more acres.
π Latest update (Aug 18, 2026): Virginia Beach City Council passed a 12-month pause on new data center permits.
