A Middleburg company wants many data centers next to the Surry nuclear plant, later powered by small new nuclear reactors. It talks about $6.45 billion and 1,300 jobs over 13 years. Progress since 2024 is unclear.
Where things stand: Announced in 2023. Trade press reported a rezoning approval, but one listing now calls it 'in doubt' and no construction has been reported.
