Providence Digital Capital data center (1095 Oranda Road, near Strasburg)
Providence Digital Capital wants three buildings of about 150,000 square feet each on 103 acres at 1095 Oranda Road beside I-81 near Strasburg. The 96 MW campus would make its own power with natural gas engines and not connect to the grid, the developer says.

Supervisors voted 6-0 to replace by-right 'data processing' with a special use permit for data centers. The rules cover water use, noise, setbacks, environmental impacts and public input. Some residents had asked for a moratorium instead.
