Amazon third Louisa campus near the Northeast Creek Reservoir
Amazon asked for a permit for a third Louisa data center campus near the reservoir in spring 2025. Neighbors raised concerns about noise, traffic, water and power, and Amazon withdrew in July 2025. In January 2026 Amazon bought about 1,920 acres nearby for about $72 million and said it is for water needs.
