EdgeCore bought 120 acres in Culpeper's technology zone in 2024 for a 1.4 million-square-foot data center campus. Power is to come from Rappahannock Electric Cooperative starting in early 2028.

Supervisors now require a conditional use permit (with a public hearing) for all new data centers on industrial land outside the Culpeper Tech Zone. Before, they were allowed there by right.
