Sabey SDC Umatilla data center campus

Sabey is building a data center campus on 60 acres on Wanapa Road in Umatilla. It is designed for more than 150 megawatts. It uses a closed-loop system to save water. The first data hall should open in April 2028.
Where things stand: Site work began spring 2026; first data hall expected online April 2028.

๐ค Agreement with the company
At a Umatilla County commissioners meeting, the county, the city of Umatilla and Sabey approved a 15-year property tax break for Sabey's data center campus. Sabey must invest at least $200 million, hire at least 10 full-time workers paid 130% of the county average wage, pay a $2 million community fee, and make yearly payments to the school district ($85,000) and fire district ($58,000).
