Stream Data Centers and Headwaters want to build a data center campus on about 310 acres near Rensch Road. Residents pushed back, and both Grove City and Jackson Township paused data centers for a year.

Voters will decide a city charter change that would require a citywide vote on each new large data center before council can approve it. A data center is proposed in Grove City.

City council passed a one-year pause (moratorium) on new data centers. It is set to end in June 2027.
