A Pennsylvania developer wanted to build a data center on about 97 acres at the old Newton airport in Andover Township. After strong public pushback, the township banned data centers. The developer is suing.

National Land Developers sued Andover Township in state court to throw out the data center ban. It says nothing changed between May 7 (when the township proposed rules for data centers) and May 12 (when it moved to ban them).
🚫 Ban
Andover Township banned data centers in all zones (Ordinance 2026-13). This reversed a 2025 zoning change that had allowed them near the old Newton Airport on Stickles Pond Road.
