⚖️ Court case · Andover
National Land Developers sued Andover Township in state court to throw out the data center ban. It says nothing changed between May 7 (when the township proposed rules for data centers) and May 12 (when it moved to ban them).
🚫 Ban · Hardyston
Hardyston's council unanimously adopted Ordinance 2026-12, which bans data centers in all zoning districts. Residents had worried about a 64-acre town-owned parcel on Route 94 where zoning allowed data centers; officials said no developer had asked.
🚫 Ban · Vernon
Vernon adopted Ordinance 26-11, which defines data centers and bans them in the township. It was introduced in May 2026; the adoption notice is dated June 24, 2026.
🚫 Ban · Andover
Andover Township banned data centers in all zones (Ordinance 2026-13). This reversed a 2025 zoning change that had allowed them near the old Newton Airport on Stickles Pond Road.

Green is on Pinelands Alliance's list of New Jersey towns that banned data centers (as of Sept. 30, 2026). We did not find the ordinance or the vote date.
