QLevr data center at former Travel Tags site (Inver Grove Heights)

QLevr wants to build a 54,000 square foot data center using about 5 MW of power at the old Travel Tags site. Many residents objected and the city paused data centers, but QLevr sued. In September 2026 the council exempted the project. It still needs a final vote.

Developer QLevr sued Inver Grove Heights in July over the data center pause. The city said losing could cost $20 million or more. On Sept. 15 the council voted 3-1 to exempt the QLevr project, and QLevr agreed to drop the case without the city paying damages.

Inver Grove Heights paused data centers for one year on a 3-2 vote. In September the council exempted one project, QLevr, after the developer sued.
