Raeden data center at former McLouth Steel site, Gibraltar
Raeden wants to build a 100-megawatt data center on the old McLouth Steel site. It applied before the city paused data centers, and it is now suing. The company says it would use 200 to 500 gallons of water a day and have 35 backup diesel generators.

Raeden and Cal Realty sued Gibraltar in federal court. They say their application for a 100-megawatt data center at 27800 W. Jefferson Ave. came before the pause and must be reviewed under the old rules.

Gibraltar passed a one-year pause on data centers, after a developer had already applied to build one on the old McLouth Steel site.
