Also called: Charlestown data center
A Florida company, QLEVR, wants to build one small 3-megawatt data center (about 55,000 sq ft) on about 12 acres in Charlestown. It would cost about $105 million and bring up to 20 jobs. The plan commission approved it 4-3 with conditions after many neighbors spoke against it.
Where things stand: The plan commission approved it 4-3 in July 2026 with conditions. More approvals and an environmental study are still needed.
๐ Latest update (July 2026): The Charlestown Advisory Plan Commission voted 4-3 to let it move forward, with conditions: an environmental study, a berm with trees, blast surveys, one building only, and proof it will not strain city power or water.
