Social Circle's planning commission voted unanimously against recommending annexation, land-use changes, rezoning and a special use for a 150-acre, 288-megawatt data center at Hawkins Academy Road and Roy Malcom Road. The applicant said the end user was secret under a non-disclosure agreement. This was a recommendation; the city council makes the final decision.
