Project Arrowhead data center campus near Mystic
Also called: Project Arrowhead, Irwin Forward Tech Park (earlier plan on part of the land)
A developer wants to build five large data center buildings on about 1,000 acres near Mystic. It could use about 1.25 gigawatts of power and cost up to $6 billion, with the first part opening in 2030. The county created a new industrial authority for the project.
Where things stand: A state regional impact review (DRI) was filed in April 2026. An earlier 546-acre request on part of the land was withdrawn in March 2026. No county approval has been reported.
๐ Latest update (June 1, 2026): A dispute over a new county industrial authority grew; the commission chairman said the new authority is only for the data center.
