Brown Farm Road data center (Oakley Real Estate Partners)
A developer asked to rezone about 111 acres on Brown Farm Road for two data center buildings near the Etowah River. A packed crowd mostly spoke against it, and the planning commission recommended denial in August 2026. In Bartow County, the sole county commissioner makes the final call.
Where things stand: County planners voted to recommend denial on Aug. 24, 2026. One tracker lists it as withdrawn; we could not confirm that.
