Trident data center campus (Vantage) at E-470 and 48th Avenue
Also called: Trident Data Center
Vantage Data Centers wants to build two large two-story data center buildings on 108 acres in northeast Aurora, next to homes in Green Valley Ranch. The land is zoned industrial, so city staff can approve it without a public hearing. Neighbors and the mayor oppose it. Vantage says it would use about 800,000 gallons of water a year and have about 50 permanent jobs.
Where things stand: Under city staff review since Aug 2025 (third review underway). It can be approved by staff with no public hearing; the mayor wants it stopped.
๐ Latest update (Oct 2, 2026): Mayor Mike Coffman said the project must not go forward; the city attorney said staff can approve it because the zoning allows data centers.
