Brighton City Council voted to move forward with a one-year pause on data centers, twice the six months first proposed. The same night, a plan for a 155-acre data center campus near the Lochbuie border (eight buildings) was withdrawn.

Thornton City Council voted 5-3 for a one-year pause on new or expanding data centers bigger than 50,000 square feet. Thornton has one data center now, a Google Cloud site.
