San Jose Data Center 04 (Orchard Parkway)

A data center company wants to build two four-story data center buildings, about 630,000 square feet, on 22 acres on Orchard Parkway in north San Jose. It would have 36 diesel backup generators able to make about 98 megawatts. The project is still under environmental review.

A council committee asked staff to add community benefits, like parks and job training, to the data center rules being written. The rules go to council in December 2026.
