The first phase would use about 250 megawatts from PG&E. The city says it could bring 6,000 jobs and $30 million a year in taxes. It still needs environmental review and lease votes.

A council committee asked staff to add community benefits, like parks and job training, to the data center rules being written. The rules go to council in December 2026.
