Patton Township supervisors approved a zoning change that defines data centers and makes them a conditional use in the industrial district, matching College Township's rules. Officials said this means a large data center cannot really be built in Patton. No data center has been proposed there.

⏸️ Pause on new data centers · Gregg Township

Gregg Township in Centre County (Spring Mills area) voted unanimously for a 180-day pause on data centers. The planning commission asked for it so the township has time to write data center rules. This is a different Gregg Township from the one in Union County.

Ferguson Township supervisors voted unanimously on two steps: ask the planning commission to write rules making data centers a conditional use, and explore a shared land use deal with a neighbor (likely College Township) so Ferguson would not have to allow large data centers at all. Sixteen residents spoke, mostly against big data centers.
